In July, Gabe visited Latte and Emma while his folks went to Hawaii on a short vacation. These are his stories …
Hi Mom and Dad and the kids,
Gabe here in Corte Madera. I guess my vacation is slowly coming to an end, so I wanted to send you a few more pictures of my adventures.
We had great fun the other morning. Emma went for a little “zoom” in the backyard. I watched for a little while and then decided to join her and we went back and forth for a little while. Then Latte came out to spoil it by barking at us. What a spoil sport, we were having such a good time.
Latte saying “What? Stay! Let’s run!”
Here we are having dessert. I have to really watch that Latte. If I don’t finish mine right away, he will come right over and finish it for me.
Playing with my favorite toy. I look a little silly because I just ran into that other dog in the mirror (the one that looks just like me).
Have you ever seen something as silly as this: Latte sleeps in the weirdest positions…
Here are all of us helping Julie get ready to take us for a walk. I think it really helps her when we all go down the stairs together right in front of her. She likes it, too, when we bounce up and down when she tries to put our collars and harnesses on. It makes it more fun for her.
We wanted to go that way, but Julie didn’t want to. She was right. After we turned back we saw a deer and all 4 of us started running after it.
It’s hard to see in this next picture, but that’s where the deer went. Julie couldn’t keep up so we didn’t catch it. Too bad! I bet she could have made a good stew.
Here’s a view from our walk tonight. It’s kind of pretty here. I hope I get to come back some time soon again.
In preparation for coming home soon, I decided to try my bed out again and I think I can get used to it again. It was nice, though, to sleep on Latte’s bed and he didn’t mind at all.
See you soon. I miss you all, especially the kids.
Love,
Gabe
PS: Did I tell you that I learned a trick while I was here? If you hold up a treat (or just your hand if I don’t pay attention) and say the word “touch!”, I will jump up and then you give me the treat. They were trying to teach me other stuff as well, but I wanted to have them work at it a little harder. Maybe next time.
