The news last night predicted a “storm of the century” to hit today – with gobs of rain and winds gusting to 60 miles an hour.
Those of us with greyhounds – who have been through storms before – brace ourselves when we get forecasts like that. I was expecting a sleepless night and having to do lots of comforting for Emma, my “sensitive soul” – at least around the house.
Well, was I ever surprised when both Emma and Latte slept and/or stayed in their beds until 10:30 am this morning – then ever so reluctantly went outside for some FAST business, had breakfast (all of it) – before retiring to their beds in the office where they have been ever since.
It’s currently 3 pm. I can only wonder IF and when they’ll be asking for their evening walk …
These pictures were taken while it’s raining hard and gusting outside – with the wind and rain pelleting the walls and windows.
Go figure.
